Daily Journal
=============
A demo app for the HTML App Creation Kit for VisualNEO Win.
Version 0.8 - October 2026 - Anthony C, The Esoteric Webmaster (esoteric-apps.com)

WHAT IT IS
A personal journal: one entry per day, with a mood, a title, the text and
photos. The whole interface is an HTML page running inside VisualNEO Win's
Modern Web Browser object; VisualNEO saves and loads the files.

WHAT YOU NEED
  - VisualNEO Win 26.8.8 or newer
  - Windows 10 or 11 with the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime
  - The plug-ins SpecialFolders and Base64Files, installed with VisualNEO
    Win's plug-in installer

HOW TO RUN
  1. Unzip into a new folder. DailyJournal.pub and the App folder must stay
     side by side.
  2. Open DailyJournal.pub in VisualNEO Win and press Run.

WHAT IT DOES
  - Calendar: days with an entry show a dot; click any day to open it.
  - Writing: mood, title and text. Everything is saved automatically.
Misspelled words are underlined; right-click them for suggestions.
  - Photos: add pictures to any day; click one to enlarge it.
  - Search: finds words in all entries (accents do not matter).
  - Delete an entry (after confirming) or remove a photo, with Undo.
  - Closing the app asks for confirmation; your entry is saved first.
  - Export: the current entry or the whole month as a text file.
  - EN/ES switch for English or Spanish, moon/sun switch for dark or light.
    Both are remembered.

WHERE YOUR DATA IS
Entries: Documents\Daily Journal\entries (one file per day)
  Photos: Documents\Daily Journal\photos
  Settings: AppData\Roaming\Daily Journal\settings.ini
To back up your journal, copy the Documents\Daily Journal folder.

FILES
  DailyJournal.pub the VisualNEO Win project
  App\index.html the page
App\app.css the look (dark and light themes)
App\app.js the app (English and Spanish)
App\bridge.js the connection between the page and VisualNEO Win

While developing, F12 inside the running app opens the browser's developer
tools. Turn them off (DevTools in the browser object) before you compile.
